It seems that the Chinese tractors have started to make other tractor manufacturers concerned so much so, that they need to retool and rethink how to recapture the lost business. Our little tractors have managed to sneak up and prove we are a great tractor that has earned a place.

I have been asked many times by recent members how the Chinese Tractor Owners Association came to be. To some it may be a boring story and to others a interesting one. It mostly began with a broken down Ford tractor, the engine had locked up and it was only about 4 years old. I admit it probably was due to our employees abuse on equipment, but the quote at the time to get a rebuilt engine with a very limited warranty was going to cost about $4,000. This was back around 1995 or so. At the time, and still today that was alot of money for our business, and I couldn't justify it for just a engine especially if it was going into a old abused machine.

When entering text in the forums and you want to add a hyperlink, there is a easy way to do this. When you are in the forums trying to post a question and if you look to the right of the bold text where it says (MESSAGE) you will see a small picture icon that looks like a chain link, click on it will open a special box for you to paste the URL (http code) for the link such as our home page address which is http://www.ctoa.net

For those curious, what we did was take the top 10 posters on our site and let our membership then vote on who they felt was the best overall.
