Hi All,
I got my rebuild kit from Tommy and I am finally getting to do it. I am looking for advise on my Hydraulic pump rebuild on the 3 point system. I have an old tech bulletin from tractor-outlet that shows the top of the pump unit needs to be cracked and the whole unit taken to a bench. Is this required? I have the following two pictures of the unit. The first is a look from the back side with the cover off. The second is the front of cover. It looks like there are bolts there that might take the piston out. Greatly appreciate the advise.

On the front side take those 4-bolts all the way out and remove that cover, on the rear if you lift the lift arms the rod that the piston pushs on should drop out which will allow you to get the inside piston that you need to rebuild out

I did end up taking off the cover. It was heavy and I did not tear up the gasket too much. You have to take the cover off, or remove the shifters. You need clearance to get the cylinder out.
When I go the piston out, the O ring was broken, as were the plastic wipers. I had to clean out the bits. I have not fired it up yet to check for leaks, but it looks good.
I also had a problem with the FEL not working, (another post). The screws were tight on the valves. There was a slight amount of dirt on the valves. I will see what happens with this as well.

You may want to set your rod adjustment at the lift handle where your lift does not go too high and allow the piston to go outside of the liner, when it does it will tear your o-ring. Just a suggestion.
