I have a Jinma 354 tractor. On the fuel injector pump there is an air breather. Does this port have to be filled with oil? what kind? how much? I can find no info in my Jinma literature.

Yes. The injector pump takes anywhere from 8 to 12 ounces of motor oil. If there is a dipstick, fill it to the line. If no dipstick, look for the tell-tale plug and remove it – fill until it runs out the tell-tale and then cap it. There should be a drain plug at the bottom of the governor side housing somewhere.

Rich gave good advice. As for the type of oil, use what you use in the engine and change it along with the engine oil. Check it for fuel dilution when you do.

Hi Folks
I have a 2008 YTO X704 with 500 hours on it , I purchased it new, the injector pump appears to be lubricated from the engine, I can see no place to add oil or drain , it has two lines, one goes from the injector pump to the engine block and one from the governor to the engine block.
I have been trying to get an english language manual for the engine, I have been in contact with YTO, they sent me an english tractor owners manual that does not mention the injector pump, and a chinese engine service manual , even pictures are not any help in it.
If any anybody has any information on this model it would be appreciated.

Yes, it is pressure lubricated from the engine. You should still check your engine oil for fuel dilution. This can come from a bad barrel and plunger assembly, not common though, but if you get a dose of diesel bugs you'll want to keep a closer eye on it. They are very corrosive.

Thanks Bob
I appreciate the info, Tried to upload a photo, but could not get it downsized for attachment.
I suspected it was lubricated from engine, but needed some confirmation to ease my concern.
