        I have a Jimna 354LE.

My hydraulic pump is getting hot after about an hour of operation, and then the front end loader gets weird.  Can’'t lower the bucket.  Regardless which direction I push the lever, the bucket goes up.  If I let everything cool off, then it works fine again.  Plenty strong and as fast as normal when it's cool.

As part of the diagnosis and treatment, I'm going to replace the big hydraulic filter (right side engine, low).  Anybody have a good source and/or part number so that I can buy this locally?

If that's not possible, I would happily order a couple from one of our supporting dealers.

        Fluid level is fine.

Also, as a separate question, why are there oil lines attached to my alternator???

Any insight into the hydraulic problem??

        Thanks in advance,

        Troy

Some alternators will have air pumps built into them as part of the EPA equipment.

If you have quick disconnects on your hydraulic lines, uncouple them and recouple them – they can get wonky and cause a partial blockage or even a complete blockage.  DO NOT operate the tractor with the lines uncoupled!   You'll blow up the pump if you do.
