My oil sender has 2 post only one has a wire on it.  I assume that is the pressure sender wire as that is what I have on the dash panel.  Anyone know what the other post is for?

I found out today that the decompression device is still on my engine, but not functional.  Something to do with the shuttle shift mechanism operation I think.  Has anyone figured out how the hook up the linkage for the decompression with the shuttle shift in place?

        Thanks

We have had customers try with a cable but it did not work out well

Without seeing  the sending unit up close, I can only speculate. Look real close at the other terminal to see if it is connected to the case. Some units are grounded that way, and some units will have that terminal connected to another gauge or power source.

On your two post sender, the post that's empty, check with an omh

meter to ground, if it has continuity, that's good, then check with

engine running, if it check's open that's great. Now you can install

a 12v buzzer's ground lead this post, the other buzzer lead to fuze

box terminal that's hot only with key on. Now you wont forget to

turn off key! Because oil pressure keeps buzzer off. I have done

three tractors this way, no more dead batteries leaving the key on.
