My neighbor has a Tractor King (Jinma) 254 that wants to run hot. The battery is about an 1-1/2″ in front of and covers nearly half the radiator. Does anyone have experience with this battery mounting and running hot? Has anyone moved the battery and if so, where to.

My FarmPro has the battery mounted in the front weight bracket, but the Tractor King weight bracket is much narrower. To narrow for the battery.

        Thanks,

        Kent

If you cannot see thru all the fins on the radiator its stopped up causing it to run hot, I have seen this so many times. You must wash out the radiator with low pressure water hose and blow out the fins with a air blower. You have to be able to see thru all the fins

I've got an early 80's IHC 234 which was actually a Mitsubishi.  Battery is mounted identically.  Really looks like a bad idea to me, but rarely is an issue.  That one has to be really clogged before it becomes an issue, however unlike the chinese tractors there are 6 blades on the fan & it is positioned correctly in the shroud to draw air from the full surface of the radiator.  Clean, clean clean those fins.
