        Aloha from Hawaii,

I recently had a heater hose blow-out and replaced both hoses. However, there is a significant water leak from a piece that I cannot identify. I assume that s gasket was blown. The piece is round and flat and fastened to the carburetor area, very close to the radiator output water hose. What is that (name?), and what do I do to repair it? I am enclosing two pictures (I hope). Can't get the pics on to here — they are  just .jpg images on my desk top and don't have a URL.

You have me hopelessly confused – carburetor area???  Jinmas are diesels and don't have carburetors.  And what does a tractor in Hawaii need with a heater???  I'm at your same latitude, just several thousand miles east, and I have never wanted a heater.  AC maybe, but not a heater.

The “radiator output hose” would be the bottom hose. The coolant flows TO the engine coolant pump FROM the bottom of the radiator.

What do you mean by “carburetor area”? Are you referring to the air cleaner? There is no carburetor.

Rich, there is snow on top of Mauna Kea. Maybe that's where he is.
