Keno Tractors is proud to announce coming January 1st, we will be putting Perkins Tier 4 compliant engines in our Jinma 254 tractors. In addition to our 25 horsepower tractors receiving Perkins diesel engines from the UK, we are pleased to announce Keno Tractors will be putting Mahindra engines in all of our 354 and 454 Jinma Tractors. Eric, our owner, has been working closely with Jinma and Mahindra to make this all happen and this coming year will be exciting times for both Mahindra and Jinma. We have also heard of the Perkins UK engine as well as the Mahindra engines, we will see how this works out, at least they are working on getting some Tier IV engines back in the Jinmas for North Armerica.

2 cents worth here, just bought a Kubota 39 hp with tier 4 engine as the 4 wheel drive went out on the jinma again and I was stuck to the frame in the field again. Impulse took over and the Kubota dealership is the closet tractor place to me. The tier 4 engine with the reburn system requires a minimum running rpm of 1800 and has problems if you idle at lower rpms for any period of time. Basically I was told start it, run it at 2000 rpm and if you stop working shut the tractor off, don't idle. Seems like a pretty sophisticated system, I hope the Chinese engineering is up to it. As for the jinma 4 wheel drive system there has got to be an upgrade that well stand up to working in wet grass and some mud. I tried the slug mod with 8mm bolts and got no better results.
thanks

Thank you all for responding to our recent post. Here at Keno Tractors, we have been in close communication with Jinma and it appears as though we will be getting these tractors in early 2015. As most of you know, all tractor manufacturers are increasing the price of their tractors to comply with the EPA regulated Tier IV engines. Most of these companies will see a 3500-4500 dollar increase in the cost of the tractor. Fortunately for Jinma, the cost of these tractors won't be quite as high as these other companies. Our 254 Jinmas will be selling for $13,500.00 which will include the Perkins diesel. Our Jinma 354 and 454 will sell for $16,900.00 and $19,900.00. Both the 354 and 454 will be coming with the Mahindra Common Rail Diesel. In regards to the 454, we are excited to announce the Jinma 454 will be coming with a cab as well.
We will be announcing more details about these new Jinmas as we draw near to their arrival. Please visit our website at http://www.kenotractors.com periodically as we will be releasing more information about these tractors and other exciting moments.

I see that the new 254's have not only the new perkins but a skidsteer style bucket disconnect that comes standard now. Is it compatable with my older 2013 Jinma 254 FEL?

The Perkins are working out great! They run awesome and we have sold quite a few of them, with no problems. They fire right up, idle smooth, way more responsive, sound awesome and are by far one of the best improvements we have ever seen. The skid steer loaders are also a great improvement. Unfortunately PJR… they did redesign the whole loader, so it will not be compatible with your style FEL Cant wait to see what is in store from Jinma in the coming years.

And also!! There is no exhaust filters or anything like that on the Perkins. No exhaust fluid or changing expensive filters, no operating RPM problems. Just a diesel engine that meets the requirements needed for tier 4. Pretty awesome, as everyone else out there is putting filters and all kinds of emissions crap on their engines that cause the customer headaches. Also we sell mahindra tractors, and they pretty much did the same thing. They designed their own engine that does not need exhaust filters and fluid to run clean. Just a good ole diesel engine, doing what its suppose to without being bogged down.

The process of bringing these in started over a year ago, you wouldn't believe what Eric, the owner, had to go through to get the tractors to be compliant with the new strict EPA tier 4 regulations. 8 months ago we bought the first 50 Perkins engines out of the UK and had them shipped to china for testing in the tractors. And here we are today finally being able to touch and feel them, after thousands and thousands of dollars spent with attorneys and EPA representatives, we have all the paperwork and certifications needed to import these engines. Without the right EPA certifications on the engines they will charge $27,000 a day for EVERY engine that is in the country. So we were very sure to cover our butts and do it right, which is also why it took so long. This is why we are the only ones in the country, as of right now, to be able to still sell these tractors. Also, Eric has traveled to India and secured a source to buy Mahindra 35 & 45 Hp engines that are also tier 4 EPA compliant. We just bought the first 2 and they have been shipped to China, soon we will be selling 354s and 454s! Which is a huge milestone for Jinma tractors, as we have not been able to import these models for several years now. Some pretty exciting stuff going on for us right now.

Hi All,
I have a 2015 Jinma 254 with FEL and Perkins diesel. Thus far, after ~40 hours, the Perkins has been perfect, I don't have a single complaint with the engine. It's strong, starts very quickly and is reliable. (sounds nice, too) I'm on very hilly terrain and it works great, NP. Normal maintenance is easy, filters/drains are easy to access.
I'm very pleased with the tractor, overall. It has exceeded my expectations. Its strong, can do all the things I need to do on the property. I had a minor crush washer issue with a hydraulic line, easily fixed. All the folks @ Keno have been great throughout, very helpful.
