Want to connect the Mityvac MV 5535 to my Yangdong Y485T.

It appears that I'm trying to couple a 1/4″ NPT nipple (the glow plug adapter) to a 7.5 mm female coupler (the Mityvac).

Does the Y485T glow plug cross-reference to the plug of another make of tractor?

Mityvac lists tractors that it can adapt to, but Jinma/Yangdong are not on their list.

        Any advice?

I have fabricated compression tester adapters before from old injectors and glow plugs. Be sure to use high pressure fittings. Mityvac uses a “mechanics” type quick coupler. You can get these at Home Depot, NAPA, auto parts stores, etc.

Chances are that one of their adapters DOES fit your engine, but Yangdong is not exactly a household name in the US. You will have to compare dimensions, or just make your own. Mityvac lists a ton of adapters separately.

Thank you, Bob, for the useful advice and photo.

We used the fuel injector port to attach the compression tester.  Got the following results:  Cyl 1 (nearest radiator) 459 psi

             Cyl 4 (nearest bulk head) 378, 330, 319 psi

Cyl 4 was filling with water from the radiator; drained the radiator before testing.  Aborted testing after finding the water.

Ordering a head gasket, head bolts, injector washers, etc.  Plan to pull the head, and have it tested and milled at a machine shop.
