Calling Farmpro only connects to a answering machine with no response. I need a starter for farmpro
trac king dozer, appears to be same as older NorTrac bn3500 dozer, someone replied thet it used a 11 tooth starter and can’t find one of these, however I am not sure, also the internet list the motor as yt-395e. Google dosen’t help much, most websites are no longer working.

The TY396E Jiang Dong engine is used in a lot of Jinma tractors as well prior to 2015 if I’m not mistaken. You have a Yuchai or Guilin dozer, depending on the age, irrespective of the brand name on it which really means nothing. Circle-G Tractor, Ranch Hand Supply, Keno Tractor, etc. , they will all have your part.
There is a nameplate on the left side of the engine that will have the model number on it.

Yep, Bob I saw a older thread from Keno Tractor, called them and talked to a guy named Adam which helped me with the starter problem. Great service from those guys, you can’t get anyone here in the east or mid east to listen once you say Chinese built.

It’s my understanding that Northern Tool was always helpful and good to work with. maybe that’s changed?

Bob Rooks,
I could not get any response from Farm pro or Northern tool, however I did get the correct starter from Keno tractors, the gear reduction starter really spins the 395 engine over fast. Back to playing in the dirt again, the old starter looked very crud compared to the new one which looked very well make, good to see they are making better replacement parts for these Chinese machines.

I believe the aftermarket gear reduction starters are US made

There is always Tommy, Phillip, and Ronald that service the mid-West and East coast, but Keno is a stand-up source also. I’ve used them several times. Can’t go wrong. Anyway, glad you’re up and running again.
