Was it on this site that someone posted a picture of a power steering cylinder all apart w/O rings and seals in proper order etc….? If so can someone direct me to that thread/link…thanks
Sorry, no pic came up…..that doesn’t mean you didn’t send one….I’m ‘challenged’ when comes to computers and their capabilities……also thank you for that great in depth scholarly reply on ‘liquids/oils’ ,their differences and uses and clssifications–excellent!
I found that link with all the pictures to change out all seals and O rings and instructions…..changed out my power steering cylinder seals and 0 rings in about an hour. Pretty good for a novice….link coming soon…
If you go to <www.tractorpoint.com> and type in the ‘Search’ box NT254 power steering cylinder exploded view….it will take you to a page with a bunch of links…..after the downloadable box you will find a list of links. Click on the first link you see…..the author is Huddleston….He has pictures and tells you step by step how to change out that PS cylinder…..The hard part is getting that shaft back into the cylinder as you have new seals and Orings…..my son and I couldn’t get it back together. We are looking for someone with a press that might do the job…..more later.
