Well after of years not doing it I took off the factory air cleaner for the on board compressor and piped it into the air filter system for the engine . It was so easy I do not know why I did not do it earlier , Thanks Bob for this modification suggestion.

My 50 hp Foton it came from China with a compressor for air brakes ,I guess they use them in Europe. Anyway it had a junky air filter and you suggested that I relocate the suction side to the air filter that the engine uses.

Now I remember. I don’t know why they didn’t do that at the factory. The mod isn’t that difficult.

Bob I was given a economy power king tractor it has a hydro lift , a external pump that runs off the engine via belt , it uses a 2 way cylinder with about 1 gal oil(ATF fluid) reservoir. It has no filter , it is a 1975 and seems to work well . Should I add a filter or just leave it alone? I was kinda thinking if I use it more that it has been(which is not much) stuff might start to loosen up and start to move threw the system. Take a WAG.

If it’s like this one, I wouldn’t bother. The system is very small and simple, and your investment is low anyway.

yep that is what it is, and good I will leave it alone.

That’s a pretty sweet little machine actually. Has a lot of potential. I’m assuming it has an automotive style dry clutch with that manual transmission. I’m not saying you shouldn’t install a return filter though, because I probably would if it were mine, just because I can.

it uses the same pressure plate bearing and clutch disc as a farmall cub and a 3 speed trans one version uses 2 trans back to back that make them 9 speed. I think I will pull the hydro tank and look at the bottom for sludge.

I found on ebay a small housing 3/4 inch in and out rated at 15 gpm 25 micron 33 bucks went with that can not hurt ,bottom in reservoir tank not to bad  but not to good either and hoses are 50 years old, so this should catch the trash.
