Simple power steering modification.
My power steering cylinder has needed rebuilt now for the last 200 hours. I have 1300 on this 2001 Jinma 254.
The steering cylinder does not leak but the internal seals that keep the cylinder in a steady position dictated by the steering wheel are failing. That allows the front wheels to continually wander. Constant input at the steering wheel to correct the wandering is a chore. Maximum air pressure in the tires helps.
I installed a steering wheel spinner knob and have been amazed at how much easier this problem has been improved. What we called suicide knobs this device is perfect for tractors.
Seven dollars on EBay bought a so far reliable unit that required only slight modification. I had to use thicker rubber than what came with the unit. The clamping metal at the steering wheel should have been beefier but so far it is staying in place.
This is a really great steering modification.
