Convert gas engine to propane

<span style=”-webkit-tap-highlight-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);”>My 25 year old 841 Caddigger B&S engine carburetor was failing and rebuilding it did not fix the problem. Internal blockage could not be located. Replacement carburetor was not available so my only option luckily was propane conversion.

Basically the 20 pound propane tank feeds into a manifold adapter that mounts under the carburetor, using a rubber hose and clamp. My old carburetor was still useable as that controls propane flow using the position of the still workable throttle plate.
The conversion starts instantly and when I want to stop the engine I simply close the propane valve to starve the engine of fuel. The ignition switch is always in the on position. It is recoil start.
These conversions keep a still tuning engine in service after that original carburetor has failed. And propane actually is a cleaner fuel that increases engine longevity. </span>
