I replaced the joystick controls on my NT35XTD three times. They kept wearing out. Finally I just got rid of the joystick altogether and replaced it with three Cross 1V1703 valve handles. Works fine. Easy mod.
there is nothing wrong with going old school, but a good quality joystick vs the chinese ones would have fixed it too. I have a joystick in a 2001 backhoe with over 4000 hrs and never touched it.
