Went to start 224 this morning and absolutely nothing when i turn the ignition, no lights on dash, nothing electric at any key position. Needed to use so i jumped the solenoid with a screwdriver and just did not shut off between jobs.

afterwards, opened hood to fix issue and found this (hopefully picture follows) yellow wire with connector not attached to anything. Could see no obvious male connector to attach to. It is a single wire which is insulated, (or it has a larger plastic sheath around it), and it comes directly off the main run of wires. 224 yellow wireI was thinking it was from the ignition but could see no unused terminal. It is long enough to be in the dash or down to the starter solonoid. Oh, if this is any use it has the original factory # on it “32”.

        Thanks,

        pete

          Pete,

On my 284 there is a #32 yellow wire
that comes from the horn. It plugs into that white connector from
the bottom and feeds a yellow wire on the other side of the connector
that goes to the horn relay.

OK, thanks Ron, I will check that. I was kind of hopeing that the one little wire could have been the problem causing my complete lack of electrics.

Tomorrow will start pulling fuses and playing with ground wires.
