I was at walmart and saw that here they have biodiesel at the pump listing it at between 6 and 10 percent ,I looked on the net and read that 20 to 35 percent biodiesel can be run even on a older diesel engine, without effecting rubber fuel lines and seal problems is this correct?I do not want to create a fuel problem with rubber hoses and seals.
we ran an experiment years ago with a 50/50 WVO bioblend and had near catastrophic results, aside from the exhaust smelling like french fries.it plugged fuel filters and ruined fuel systems.since that time we have evolved to the B-5 standard on several of the smaller 5,000 HP vessels with success.
