I asked the wrong question a couple of days ago. My clutch works fine. No slipping what so ever. My problem is when I depress the clutch pedal the clutch wont’t disengage. Do I still need to adjust the clutch plates or is there an external adjustment. Any info would be appreciated. thx.

I don’t know what to say. You say the clutch works fine but it won’t disengage. To me that’s NOT fine.

Check where the clutch pedal connects to the clutch cross shaft to see if the roll pin has been sheared. That’s the easy part. If the roll pin isn’t sheared and the shaft rotates with the clutch pedal, then the pins in the yoke have sheared, and you have to split the tractor to repair it (I believe).

Thx for your help Bob. I took the loader off and the side inspection cover off. I can see when I depress the clutch pedal the bearing slides forward to the 3 levers but barely moves them. Can I adjust those levers?

Yes, I believe you can, but that’s above my pay grade. Here are some tips, hope they help:

Thx again Bob. The article was very helpful. Going to attempt to do the adjustments and see what happens. If it doesn’t work I guess it’s off to find a repair shop with someone who knows what they are doing…lol.
