It finally warmed up enough to work in the garage today so I finished the starter circuit booster relay addition.  Bad news is that I still get a click click sometimes.  Always starts that's what matters.  As I was wiring things up and trying to avoid the horn near the fuse board it dawned on me.  Do I really need the horn.  My tractor will never see pavement so other than tooting at my kids on the quad I will not use it.  It has a nice spst intermittent switch, a 40 amp relay and is fused.  Seems like it could be adapted to the glow plug or starter motor upgrades.

        Wonder what others think?

Makes sense to me.  I only use a horn when I'm passing someone and frankly, I just can't see that happening with my tractor. roflmao

I would just double check that circuit I think there has to be something else on that 40  amp relay is way more than a horn would pull ,unless it was used a as air raid alarm in England  years ago.

The closest I've been to needing the horn was a few weeks back. We had over two feet of snow overnight and there were three of us neighbors on tractors running around plowing driveways.laugh Here's what the snow did to my greenhouse:yell

Sounds like a good plan to me. Cleaner then putting in a push button like mine got for the glow plug upgrade. I say if the circuit can handle it then go for it.hmmm
