Glow plug injector question

What those are supposed to do is build a little fire in the intake manifold, and that provides hot air for a starting aid. There should be an igniter (similar to a glow plug) and a small reservoir for fuel. I have seen and heard of these plumbed in various ways. Sounds like you have a defective igniter. If you can't locate an OEM replacement (if you want to), you cal always go the aftermarket route.

Think twice before using ether as a starting aid.

Hard to tell from the picture if it's assembled incorrectly, but it should show some resistance on an ohm meter instead of a dead short. What amperage rating is the fuse/circuit breaker that it's connected to?

Excuse my ignorance, but what is a “B nut”?

Here are a couple of leads. Ford / New Holland uses the same setup, but I don't know about thread sizes. You can also check with Affordable or Circle-G, they are OEM dealers and may have these in stock.

You might also check the wire size to the heater Chinese tractors are notorious for under-engineering their electrical circuits and components.

I would like to know the min. temp is required for one of these to work .I have one of these on my jcb backhoe and I would like to test it with a digital lazer temp gauge. In the instruction book it says not to engage heater for more than 15 seconds .I have had issues with starting with temps below 40 f. I was told that some engines you can hear a pop when it ignites. I think I will put a amp meter inline to see the draw of the heater coil.
