Grinding in 2nd Gear

        Hello, I have Farmpro 2430 from around 1998. I was mowing this weekend and have an issue with 2nd gear. It is ‘skip grinding’ when I put it in 2nd and let out the clutch. Its not getting power to the wheels in low or high range. All other gears work fine with no grinding. I thought it might be the 2nd-4th shift fork but 4th gear works fine. Any suggestions on what to look at?

          I guess it is time to pull the tranny cover just to see what is going on, that just might be the best thing to do vs. guessing
