        Hi Guys, What can be used for a Hydraulic thread sealant when running Indol 32? Thanks.

          The only time you use any sealant is on tapered threads. No other time.

          The best all-around sealer I have found is Rector Seal #5.

          Are you using the Indol multi-vis hydraulic oil or just ISO AW 32?

            It  is Cenex Indol ISO-VG 32. There are fittings that go into the chinese loader valve that chronically leak, even with new rubber sealing washers. Hoping that some “pipe dope' will help. Just didn't know what was compatible.

              I use this stuff for very difficult situations.

              I use this stuff for extremely difficult situations.

               

              Neither of the above are recommended for straight threads.

              Have you tried copper washers or captive O-ring washers in lieu of the rubber sealing washers?

                Yes I have used the captive on the steering cylinder with success, but not able to find them for this area. Do you have a secret supplier ? The “Leak Lock” I have used in the past for steam boiler fittings and like it. Was unsure about using it for oil. Thanks again Bob.

                  I have used rectorseal #5 for years once you look at the can and what it can be used for .there is so many aproved uses,it is good stuff.
