Hi from Downunder.
I have recently completed a large shed on cut and fill. The resulting slope access to this shed is too steep so i have purchased 200 cu mtre of decomposed granite which has been dropped near to my job site.
I had arranged for a Bobcat guy to spread the deco for me for $A80 per hour which I considered better than hammering my FEL on my Jinma – which has less than 200 hours on it. However the guy has let me down so I am back to considering DIY.
My biggest concern is the wear on the clutch as it will be a lot of forward and reverse to pickup a load and drop and no doubt I would be holding my foot down on the clutch pedal a bit long on occasions. I reckon it would take me about 8 hours of driving to drop, spread and compress.
How do Chinese clutches stand up to this wear? My normal tractor use is slashing, so little gear change work.
Would a replacement clutch be an upgrade anyway?
Opinions from owners with similar experience will be most welcomed.
I have tried to upload pics to give a better idea of scale.

the only suggestions I have is to use a low gear and stay in 2 wheel drive whenever possible if the job takes a extra 4 hrs. that is less time than a tractor splitting session. but the machine can do this.

The clutches in these tractors aren't as fragile as one would think. Here at Keno Tractors, we have a service department and we don't do a lot of clutch work here. As suggested above, make sure you're in low gear when using your loader as this will have less wear and tear on your clutch and tractor in general. We have replacement clutch kits here that come with everything from a throwout bearing to a pilot bearing and even a clutch alignment tool. Unfortunately, there aren't any 'upgraded' clutches out there for these tractors. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to call us.
