Has anyone tried to install the clutch assembly by sliding it onto the shaft first and then bolting it to the flywheel after you bring the two halves of the tractor together?
how would you get out the clutch alignment tool in or out or torque the pressure plate?? the access plate I believe is not near the clearance you would need. or am I missing what you are saying?
there is enough room to reach in the side opening and screw the clutch bolts into the flywheel as you rotate it to each location as long as you already have them installed in the clutch holes. Still debating which way to go. Having trouble locating the alignment tool (out of stock at the places I called) anybody have one for loan?
A automotive universal clutch tool might be available at a parts house, I am guessing it should work. All I have that way is some plastic ones of unknown size and spline count.
