I am a newbie on this forum.

I live 60 miles out in the country away from Albuquerque. We have an excellent diesel shop in town. Of course they do mostly trucks, etc. They do know the diesel engine and have worked once on my Jinma 284.

        My questions are:

        1. Is there a directory of authorized Jinma or Nortrac service centers in the US?

        2. Is there a shop or repair manual available for the Jinma 284 or the comparable Nortrac? The shop I take my trucks to would like to have some of the specifications on the engine on the Jinma.

Hoping you can help me and it would be greatly appreciated.

        Mike

Northern Tool used to make manuals for the NorTrac that is a Jimna. Contact Northern Tool about a manual. I have the Chinese manuals and NorTrac manuals for my NT254 and the NorTrac manuals are more informative.

Do you have the Chinese manuals for your tractor?

              Thank you Tommy and Carl.

Yes I do have the Chinese operator's manual written in English. However it has no specifications as to clearances, measurements, pressure, etc.

Initially, these tractors are shipped with four manuals – the Tractor Owner's Manual, the Tractor Parts Manual, the Engine Owner's Manual, and the Engine Parts Manual.  You really need all four manuals to have the complete information necessary to work on one knowledgeably.  All the torque specs for the engine are in the engine manual, not the tractor manual, for instance.  And so on.  Dealers like Tommy at Affordable can supply you with all the necessary manuals if you tell them both the particular engine in your tractor and the tractor model number.
