I am starting the retrofit of the OEM CBN314 pump to a CBN320 pump to run the tractor hydraulics. This should make the loader work a little faster. Here is a pic with the OEM on the right and the new pump on the right.

You will see a big differnce, it's really not a retrofit just a replacement pump.Since it's a little longer you have to adjust the inlet pipe. The GPM will change from 7.40  to 10.57

The pump is a direct replacement, bolts right up. The suction line is hard piped and you have to bend it back about 1/4″ (+/-), the discharge line is hose to a quick connect, so that is not an issue. I have also added a relief valve, where the quick connect used to be and am changing the hydraulic circut. As I progress I will post pic's.

I've added the CBN-320 pump on my JM 454 and what a big difference it makes on the speed of our FEL.

Getting closer to finishing the project.

The CBN320 pump bolted right up, had to bend the OEM suction line back about 1/4″. Added a relief valve right off the pump (due to the quick connects for the loader).  Ran the pump discharge to a 3 way valve – loader and tractor hydraulic circuts.

Pump supply to 3 way valve, the LH position is for the loader, the RH position is for the tractor hydraulics.

Added a pressure gauge to monitor system pressure.

Loader Quick connects. The OEM setup, you had to use one of the two sets of remotes at the rear of the tractor.

                                Very nice work! hailking

The only thing I would have done differently is on the quick-connects; reverse one set so that there is a male and female opposite each other. That eliminates the possibility of getting them cross connected.

                                Good job! kissass

                                  Thanks

I  will use one of your tricks and color code the valves to eliminate the possibility of a crossconnection. Worked great on the dozer!
