        Had a big problem this weekend.  Lower link pin sheared at the tread pin junction, dropped the tiller on that side which then caused the top link brace to break the attachment point on the gear box cover.  Looked at the pins on my US made implements and they are bigger on the treaded side.  Is this an example of inferior quality materials.  Those nuts on the pins were tight before I started.  I am already looking for better pins!

            I just bought a Cat 2 to Cat 3 lower link pin from here which I will adapt to use on the backhoe subframe I'm building. The thread diameter (1 1/8 inch) is smaller than the pin diameter (1 7/16 inch).  Many of the standard lower link pins are larger on the pin side.
