Hi,
Ordered a LW6 backhoe for my Kioti LK3054xs 2004 model. The BH is in a crate so i guess there's a lot of putting together to do.
Heard a few negative things about them,but i took a chance and ordered anyway.. 3800.00 delivered compared to 8000.00 plus at the dealer,Maybe the dealer BH is twice as good!!
It's on the way and will be here Aug. 1st so i want to prepare myself for what's ahead with installing this BH…
Would appreciate any advice and tips that i can use getting this together.
The company i purchased it from said the pump hooks up to the PTO,there's no PTO shaft. Is that right?
Hope to hear from you, especially if you put one from the crate together!

Ben:I was in New Foundland two winters ago hunting moose. It was a real experience.The main thing is to flush the system before you use it, make sure you connect the hydraulic pump with the hoses in the right place, and set your PRV (pressure relief valve to about 2,200psi). Bob Rooks has a wealth of knowledge on these machines and I am sure he will also post. If you ever need to do a modification on the hydraulics I have some experience there. I have a LW-7 and modified it and it now runs great.Len -

Sorry if my answer did not come out the why I planned. Replied to your post twice and my reply got kicked back and did not post. Anyway you should have two PTOs on you tractor. One is a spline shaft PTO that runs 540/720or 1000 rpms the other is a direct PTO that you need to remover a cover plate and connect the pump by bolts. That PTO runs with your engine rpms. If I am not correct in this someone will chime in on this.
You should get all the help you need from the members on this site.

I was just in Liburn, GA this morning. Not too far from where I live. When I was in Newfoundland there was a blizzard the 10 days I hunted. I had a tag for a cow, calf, or bull. I let several cows go dur to them having calves with them. The last day I had saw a bull running across a bog at about 250 yards and decided not to shoot because I wanted a clean shot. Beautiful county! I felt like Robert Redford in the movie “Grizzly Adams” trecking through out the mountians living out of hand built log cabins. I stayed at Cottrells Cove to visit some frinds then went to the mountians about 5 hours south of there for the hunt.
If you ever get to GA you will have to give me a call.

I just purchased a LW-7a backhoe for my Jinma 354 and am in the process of putting it together now. I didn't want to spend another $400 plus for a PTO pump but as was pointed out by contributors to this site any other way would have been a pain in the butt so I ordered one, it should be here tomorrow.
Removing the backhoe from the crate is a pretty daunting task and dangerous if you don't have help and/or use the tractor as a crane . Almost everything is heavy, be careful. (Crated my LW-7a weighed 1500 pounds.)
I'm in the process of assembling the unit right now so I may have some answers to your questions.

I self imported and installed an HW04X frame mounted hoe last fall so my experience might help you out.
I carefully removed the entire wooden and metal parts of the crate while being careful that it would not fall over sideways. Then I got the pump and hydraulics all working OK. If you plan to use your existing tractor hydraulics, the idea is the same.
Once I had the hydraulics running and connected to the hoe, I used the joysticks to carefully position the hoe for final attachment to the tractor. Since it was my first time, it sounds easier than it actually was but still not difficult with patience. I was finally able to coaxe all the parts to come together without any problems.
