Starter won't kick in anymore, I was hoping the wiring was bad so I jumped a

good battery to the starter frame and hot to the solenoid, only got a light spark

and nothing else so I guess its shot.

Has anyone found a source for just a solenoid, if not then where is the cheapest

place for a new or rebuilt starter.  This is a farmpro with y395 engine I think.

Solenoids don't go bad too often, but they do get dirty and lock up.  You might want to take your starter off and clean all aspects of it thoroughly before consigning it to the junk pile.

            Chuck,

If you are interested, get me an Email address and I can send you a PDF file with pictures, etc on the solenoid and or starter disassemblies.  I have the Jinma 284 with the 385 engine, but suspect that starters and solenoids are the same.

The solenoids are all different, we should have one that fits your tractor, we need to know the starter number. Some of the TY395 engines have the QD1315D starter

If you will send me a pic I'm sure we can get you fixed up

                  Chuck,

You should have the PDF files in your Email.
