I just wanted to say thanks for everyone being patient with me during the site transition. It seems the new site is running pretty well with very few glitches. I am still working on the “QUOTE” issue. A javascript conflict is the culprit and it is a tough one to figure out. Otherwise most seems well.
We already have over 745 post on the NEW SITES FORUMS.
I appreciate each and everyone of our great members and hope our site continues to offer helpful information and resource to those in need of Chinese Tractor and Dozer questions, help, support, parts, friendship, etc…..

Like the new site very much — really like the way that when topics are viewed, it jumps right to the first post that hasn't already been viewed.

I am adjusting to the new site and like it. Hal, PLEASE, don't allow posters to easily put a whole damn post in a quote box. If they want to do it force them to cut and paste. Why anyone needs to repost something that has been said is ridiculous. At times it is necessary to quote several sentences of a post and make a reply to each.
It's a waste to have someone copy someone's post and then say under it, “I totally agree”. Why couldn't they just say they totally agree??????

Thanks Hal
You've put a lot of time into making this change work. Wasn't too keen on it at first, but have been fumbling around enough to make it work. REALLY want to thank you for figuring out to get to the old forums.
Too much info there to have lost that! Keeps us from having to go over problems all over again

People are hilarious...
I'm supposed to choose and be in one of the 2 parties. And NEITHER is worth a damn! -

I'd jump on the and bandwagon, but I'm afraid that if too many of us wax enthusiastic about the change you might get so addicted to the that you'll make more changes just to get more praise. I'm just about comfortable with the new site format and like it just fine but i don't think I'm up to too many more changes just now. Maybe in a year or three…

One of the problems with classified ads in a forum is that the readership is so spread out all over the map that shipping becomes an issue, particularly on big stuff. I never even read them as shipping is a huge issue for me.

That is a good point to take into consideration.

not to be rude to anyone here but I've already traveled to texas and to kansas for equipment that I found on the internet that I was looking for, you never know who has what for sale or where and I sold my dozer to a man in colorado “thanks to this site” but still have my tractor and always look for more stuff to buy. so thanks for the classifieds Hal

Okay..I have set up a Classifieds section for our members only to list items and stuff. Have not fully tested it. Will let you guys who post something give me feedback. I have used it on another site successfully so..it should work.
I have established a small listing fee of only $1.00 for a 30day listing. This very small listing fee will hopefully keep the site from getting unnecessary listings.
Not sure if I created all the needed basic categories..but hey I can ad as requested.
We will see if members find this a benefit for the site!
