        Hi Guys,
Has anyone had the opportunity to actually compare these 2? Curious of the pros and cons of each before I buy. Thanks in advance. Fido

I have the HF Quick Hitch.  For me it was not really worth the time spent on it. The distance between the lift pins was too close to allow easy hookup. I spread them apart somewhat and it sorta worked.  An important part missing when I bought mine at HF was the Top Link hook. Others may have had better luck, but now mine sits unused. I don’t have to change implements daily so I just plan on spending a little effort when I do. I work alone and use a digging bar for leverage when maneuvering/connecting implements. Lots of discussion on here a few years ago about this hitch, don't remember if there was a consensus reached or not!  BG

The Harbor Freight quick hitch conforms to the ASAE spacing standards which has been adopted by most implement manufacturers. I think there are still a few manufacturers that don't wish to conform for some reason. Note: The Harbor Freight hitch can get tweaked during shipping. This is not a big deal but check the dimension between the hooks before you take it home.

Pat's Easy Change hooks are just that. Quick attach / release hooks on the lift arms and they work very well. They will also allow connecting to non-standard implements. If you use a spreader bar between the lift arms it makes life easier. For me their big drawback was no connection to the top link so a fair amount of horsing around was still necessary to hook up to an implement.

I have a rock rake, box scraper, grader scraper, backhoe, laser controlled scraper, and crane that all attach to my HF quick hitch. I also have a hydraulic top link that allows me to change between implements in a minute or less.

            Hope this helps.

Hi All,  Yes I am still kicking 🙂  I didn't think the HF quick hitch was worth a darn and it sat for a couple of years.  Then after looking at the pictures Bob Rooks posted of his I realized I needed another part.  The extra part used to come with it but it no longer does.  Once I got the right stuff it was much more useful.  You can perhaps find it many places but the extra item needed is here.

              Take care
