Rebuild cylinder seals

I hope that you are all having a good day. I myself have been having a difficult
time finding some seals to rebuild some cylinders. I
started the project and the first cylinder I took apart was full of metal pieces.
The piston and cylinder were all ripped up. I bought another new cylinder from
Tommy and I have rebuild kits for (4) of the cylinders from Affordable Tractor.
I put the new cylinder on and rebuilt the second front (bucket) cylinder then
started on the boom cylinders. The other (2) cylinders must have been made from
another supplier to Jinma and can’t find rebuild kits (my luck).  I have the pictures inserted. The top piston is the one that everyone has rebuild kits for, the bottom piston in the picture is the one I can’t find rebuild kits for. I went to a hydraulic shop and they want $200 to $300 to start to make new seals. I am currently working with Hercules Seals to get some from them. 
Anyone have this problem and have a solution?

Well just an update I am another step closer to finishing the cylinder rebuilds on my Z30 FEL. I contacted Hercules Sealing Products and they are custom building me some HP urethane seals and I also purchased a installation tool kit to put the inside seals in. Installed my first cylinder by hand and it was a real b**ch trying to fold the seals into the recessed groves inside. The tool should be real handy when I rebuild the BH cylinders.

Well another productive day!

I finished my FEL project this morning after several set backs. I decided to go out and do the job right. I took the four cylinders off and disconnected all the hydraulic lines on the tractor and blew them out with air. Purchased one new cylinder and a seal kit for a second cylinder from Affordable tractor and had Hercules Sealing Products custom make some High Performance urethane seals for the two boom cylinders. Rebuilt three cylinders. Then purchased a new upgraded valve kit form Affordable. I also took the quick disconnects apart and removed their guts to have a free flow of fluid. Put it all together, filled it up with

AW 32,46,68 and the FEL works great. Had the boom and bucket raised for the past seven hours and there has not been any weep/sag in the cylinders – rock steady. The only thing I still want to do is plumb a pressure gauge into the line to see exactly what the PRV is set at.

I would like to give a special thanks to Affordable Tractor. Tommy, Jerry and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful with this project and I would give them a 10 star rating for their customer service. Tommy really went out of his way to help me.

I have three more projects that I want  finish on my tractor:

1) split the tractor and install new seals to fix leaking oil.

2) rebuild the main hydraulic cylinders on my BH with HP urethane seals. I have already installed a Prince pump with modified hoses & filter.

3) fix the power train fluid leak from the right rear axel that is going into my brake assembly

If I get this done I shouldn't have any oil on the floor.

I really need to split the tractor to fix the leak so I can run the machine with out worry. I have had several replies to my post on this with a wealth of detailed information for that project.  Just need the time.

I am currently training a Bernese Mountain Dog (puppy) to be a working dog. He is 13 weeks, 30 lbs., and all pup. A lot of work, but a lot of fun also.

I had the same issue. My kit also had one extra O ring and I called Jerry at Affordable and was told that some of the kits are universal and will fit several different cylinders and have an extra O ring.

I have a ZL30 FEL and I think it has the same cylinders as the ZL20.  My kit had (4) O rings, one for the end cap seal 47mm ID, one for the shaft under the piston 15mm ID, one for the middle of the split piston that goes under a ridged seal 39mm ID and one extra ring 30mm ID for another type cylinder.

You might want to call where you got the kit from just to make sure.

Thanks for the link for the info on splitting a tractor. Quicksandfarmer also sent me detailed info on splitting the machine. It is all kind of intimidating, but with the information I now have at had I am confident I can get the project done. Just have to find the time. At least I can wait since I don't have to run the tractor in the current condition. I'll post updates as soon as I get started.
