Picked up a Bush Hog SQ 84 T rotary mower this weekend, very cheap, very used. Needs, I think 2 stump jumpers, both are bent significantly on one end. I am not feeling massive vibration but worry it may eventually stress the 2 gear boxes. Any suggestions on removing these items would be appreciated. The unit is at least 15 years old and I am sure things will not come apart easily.
Thanks

What are you calling “stump jumpers”?

also listed as weldment pan, to which weldment bar and blades are bolted.

I would try heat and big hammers once you get them off . the stump jumper does not have to be perfect ,it just has to lift the mower over , well stumps . This will take some effort I have not worked one a mower that large but I can imagine those plates are thick ,but if it is bush hog they are pretty good about parts on older machines if you have to buy stuff.

It appears that the blade pan weldment is held in place by the blade bolts and the main shaft blade nut and washer. Removal seems pretty straightforward, but I would figure on replacing the blade bolts with kits.

I have a 3/4″ CP impact I bought from a concrete pumping company that was closing due to retirement. One of the best 50 bucks I ever spent. It was either that or the other 50 I gave them for a set of Snap On open end wrenches going from 7mm to 32mm

Got the squealer apart and the stump jumpers and blades were the easy part. Other stuff was rusted and bent creating lots of headaches. Need 4 new blades but at 250 a pop trying to salvage one of the jumpers. Fired up the knife making forge, heated and pounded till it was somewhat symmetrical. We'll see.
