It seems as though I am getting the dreaded click click click occasionally when trying to start my Jinma 254.  I have always got it going, but the problem may be getting more frequent.  All the connections and wiring seems good, battery is new.  Original ignition switch, and clutch switch, I have not added the starter relay mod yet but plan to do so this winter.  Is this most likely a internal starter issue?  If I have a failure to start I'd like to have an idea where to look first.

        Thanks

CHeck all your Ground & Positive cables first, sounds like it may be the starter solenoid. We have them as a seperate part if you want to just replace it, we also have complete new starters or the upgraded reduction type of starter

Cables and connections are good, already went over everything with a wire brush to get off that black paint!

Check the voltage that you are getting at the Interrupt Switch and starter with the key in the Start position.  On my 284 these are the wires involved.
