Hello fellow members of the CTOA ! It's getting time for a new upgrade to the website overall flow and feature. The most important I am working on is a better forum that is also Tablet/Smartphone/Computer friendly. That means it needs to be responsive to automatically adjust to whatever device your using.
That is my main goal this time around and looking for a more friendly posting options with images!
We are the CTOA and with over 1,000+ lifetime members, we are a great group dedicated to helping each other with our Chinese tractors needs, support and questions.
Sincerely,
Hal M.

Hal,
Don't know about the other members, but I would rather see any effort put into 'fixing' the things on the existing site that no longer work the way the did.

I second what RonJ said.
Also, since this will be the third or fourth permutation, how much valuable information will be lost in the migration? Seems like every time there is an “upgrade” none of the archives make the cut.
I appreciate the fact that this pay site is advert free compared to other “free” sites, but the lack of functionality and the tedious evolutions to post pictures make that very questionable.
How will the “new” site be for posting links?

The issue is due to past cyber attacks on servers etc that have been causing issues for years. Whenever a access point to upload files is made, it becomes a easy way to cause major havoc.
The new site will be 100% RESPONSIVE meaning you will be able to view, post etc on whatever platform and it will resize to fit that device!!
It will also be CLEANER and EASIER with focus on just FORUMS and exchange of information, as well as a very simple UPLOAD button for adding a image to your post.

Attempting to IMPORT all topic threads to new site…never fun or easy. May not be able to have the user who posted link right, but hopeful to get the main discussion and response over.
Once that process is successful, then can start moving forward on this.

I am able to PORT all the topics and discussion but all will be posted from: Anonymous as a default.
However, any new post added to discussion or started once live will have the actual MEMBER attached to it properly.
It is the best I can do in cleaning up all the hidden junk in the database.

Update: All members post from the old forum were able to be correctly matched to the post so we have successfully moved the forums threads to the new site. 🙂 A few images might not move, but if a hyperlink was used within the post, then those links should still pull the images.

All righty then. Another change. It’s different for sure. Can’t see who’s online though. That’s a minus. And I must agree with Bob on the “archive” thing. So maybe I’m just stupid, but I wanted to check on a solution to a problem that has come up which was posted a while back. Where does one go to find that ??
People are hilarious...
I'm supposed to choose and be in one of the 2 parties. And NEITHER is worth a damn! -
