Thanks guys for all the helpful advice.Tommy I'll give you a shout.
Yes, Removed/unplugged then ran the engine. I had no previous reading on my glow plugs for start up- now working. Temperature gauge below 40 at start up- previously at about 80 after start up. I think this is my problem!
Is this the small silver box on the right side of the fuse box? It has five posts on the back and a blue circle on the front that reads JFT1411-14V-1200W. I pulled this out and it seems to have cured the temp. readout problem and the gauge jitters.
Tommy, I think I have been straightened out by Ronald @ Ranch Hand with some pics. I was looking at the back of the tractor around the rear axle where the linkage ends. He has shown me a picture where the plate for the shuttle shift is much further forward. Thanks you guys sooo much for being patient with an IDIOT!
Tommy, This tractor has a linkage that ends at a lever( like a counter lever), and where it goes into the tranny there is no plate. It is just a welded part to the tranny body from what I can see. The linkage that goes inside the tranny is freely moving with NO resistance at all. What has broken is inside the tranny. Sorry, I haven't figured out how to install a picture on this site. I can send one to your email if you would like.
Had the same problem a few years back. Found one corner of the cluster gauge that had cracked. Took everything out. Had to replace with a new one. Good dealer, replaced for free because it was fairly new.
Okay, I have the right fender and floor plate off. I need to know if I can go through the right brake or does it need to come off also? Looks like it will need to come off to access the linkage where it goes into the tranny.
It is a shuttle shift. This is on an 06 Jinma, Sorry for the confusion. All movement from the shifter to the tranny seems to be fine. The problem is inside. Never had to go into the tranny before. Just need to know what to look for. Thanks!
