I have two chinese tractors a 2006 foton ft504a and a 2005 le204a dong feng, those are both metal. yours could be different , I think the farmpro is a jinma.

That’s a good idea and I will no matter what but for some reason I thought these tanks were plastic ??
Thanks again I have a NAPA filter ready to go I don’t know how old or if it’s the original filter that I bought it with I am assuming its the one when It came in the crate .
Thank you for taking the time out describing things to look for . No I don’t have a schematic for the tractor . If I hear you correctly you are thinking more of a wiring or reg or grounds then the Alternator itself ?
Funny thing is I do get dash lights when I turn the key to the on , No Amp meter movement, headlights or fuel gauge readings.
It never worked since I bought it and have put many miles on her. It works hard for me and the price was amazing .

I will have to spray it all down with brake cleaner and sort it out, I think something exploded inside maybe the bearing or the clip as it started leaking when I lost steering , so maybe a new pump too. But when I lock in the wheel still has power steering.
Will def post step by step pictures once I dig in .
