The seal is in the flywheel housing, once you remove that housing you will see the seal.

Most of the time when this happens is because the bolts that secure the flywheel housing to the engine have come loose and the rear main oil seal starts leaking. In order to repair this leak you must Split the tractor, remove the flywheel retighten or replace those bolts with new and locktite

We use Shell Rotella 15W 40 oil in everything other than the hydraulics, some customers use 90wt gear oil,we have had good luck with the Shell product over the last 10- years,and plan to stick with it

You put the head gasket on upside down, once you take it off you will see where you blocked a hole at the rear.
