Here’s some documents for you that I had saved just in case I needed to do an adjustment to our Jinma tractor clutch. I’ve never adjusted a clutch so maybe someone else can add their experience with adjusting clutches.

Yes the Tesla’s are very expensive. However, they are building a Model 3 for under 35k with same range as the other models that is scheduled for release in 2017.

Tinbender, you also get government tax credit for buying electric vehicles. Here in Ontario Canada we get a rebate of up to $8,500 on a new electric car depending on the vehicle’s battery size and a rebate of up to $1,000 on a private/home charging station for the vehicle

Tinbender if your looking at putting solar on your house and you don’t want any upfront cost look at this company for  details.

            Solarcity

Also take a look at these battery packs to store your electricity for use later.

            Tesla Powerwall

Another factory that will drive the battery cost down is this one.

            Tesla Gigafactory

Electric transportation and solar is the direction we are going and it won’t be long that it will become more affordable than our present systems.

Bob, I also believe that the future will be electric vehicles. Tony Seba of Stanford University believes that electric vehicles is the next disruptive technology that will change our future transportation needs. Take a look at this video.

              Tony Seba Presentation

Trevor, the cost of battery packs have gone down dramatically and I believe that he stated on his video that he’s shooting to build them under 15K. Look at GM there coming out with a Chevrolet Bolt in late 2016 or early 2017 that can travel approximately 200 miles on one charge and at a price range of 35K.

Can this problem be caused by a cracked, bent or broken axle? I’m just wondering if when there’s weight on the front end that a cracked, bent or broken axle would cause the gears to bind as they are not aligned properly.

That's a good amount of snow you have there. Glad to see that you're feeling better.

If your hose at the pump blew and you operated the tractor for a period of time you could have damaged your pump.

Sorry Cal I was away for 2 weeks building an addition to the cottage. The one I purchased is the Q45. It seems that you can't properly add links to this site so do a search on the internet for galtech valves. I'm from Canada so I went to an hydraulic shop and they recommended I purchase this valve. I have a power beyond so that my snowplow has float capabilities. Very useful when plowing snow on the cottage road.
