True. Better to have the weak link on the outside so you don't have to dissasemble the tractor to repair the inside.

Great, no longer my responsibility, but the liability ball with your customer is in your court now. Not sure where Eric gets his info but it's not based on empirical scientific knowledge, otherwise we would be on the same page.

Sorry to hear about your leg, hope it heals well and soon. 🙂

I forgot to mention that if the cables are the adjustable type they will have an extended threaded portion on one end of the jacket. If not then they're not.

The sheared roll pin can be a tricky little bugger to detect. You actually have to view the shaft end-on to see if the crank arm is rotating the exact SAME amount as the shaft. If there is any play at all the pin is sheared and must be replaced. Do NOT drill out the hole and install a bolt in place of the roll pin, there are reasons for this.

Adjusting the cable jacket does in fact adjust the linkage, however I would first check for sheared roll pins at the crank arm on the cross shaft.

This is tribal knowledge surreptitiously gleaned from the “Wheelies”. roflmao

WOW! That's cool. Where did you find it? That looks like it may perform as well as Topcon's System 5 system for a lot less $$$. Sans machine interface. laugh

Well the imgur link works but for me it wouldn't show the feature. Everything else came through OK.

I like Van Houtte coffee myself, they are at all of the Chevron stations up here.

Did you download that pic into Visio and calculate that way or just print out and use a protractor? Anyway, it's creative and innovative. I like it, I just use my Droid phone for guesstimates.
