Hi Bootlegger, welcome!
Pusher fans are optional equipment on some of the medium sized and larger earth moving and ag machines where very dusty operating conditions exist, but I doubt they have made their way to the compact and sub-compact level as an OEM options.
There are many aftermarket electric fans available as pusher/puller models.
Some are:

Yes. That would be the voltage regulator.

This is a pic of a Terramite TD3500 that was in an auction a while back. Went for only $7k. Don't know year but appears to be a newer model with a shuttle clutch
.
After looking at your pics of “here's the leak”, this dozer looks familiar.
If you say oil is coming out of the top cover plate of that section, check all of the hose connections and the cover gasket, and do NOT check the dipstick with the engine running – you will get wet!
Need to know if your shuttle clutch has a hydraulic accumulator in the left saddlebag, and also if the left saddlebag contains a dedicated hydraulic oil reservoir for the shuttle clutch.
You may not have to pull the engine.

That is a very old spec. Closest oil that meets that is a gear oil compound EP 68 (third row down). Not sure if I'd use that in a tractor hydraulic system though.
Virtually all petroleum companies formulate EP 68 gear oil, so if you want to go in that direction, take your pick. My closest recommendation would be ISO AW 68 hydraulic oil since it also has an AGMA rating.

Hi Greg, welcome.
This project of yours should be very interesting and informative. Look forward to seeing it unfold.
Not sure what a model PT-400 dozer is. Is it a Yuchai? Guilin? I know that Yuchai used to make a model YCT-406 but that has been discontinued for a couple of years now. Only difference I could tell was that the engine was a four cylinder 40 HP. All other specs seemed to be the same.
Would love to see some pics, at your convenience.
If I get my garage built I plan on doing the brake bands on mine, and maybe some steering clutch work too. Got oil on the left band. I'm coming up on 600 hrs. so I figure that's not too bad, considering.
Good luck, and feel free to post any questions.

It sounds like whoever fabbed your QA attachment forgot the tapered pins that drive through rectangular holes in the bottom of the mounting plate. Did your fab shop make the mounting plate from scratch or did they (or you) purchase a full blank plate? Your setup should look similar to this (note the red handles).
I recently purchased a TPH adapter for my skid steer. I could not make one for the same price

AW 32 hydraulic oil or machine oil if the system is for steering only. I would caution against using any type of ATF due to the addition of friction modifiers for use with bands and clutches, not to mention the increased cost.
If you have a JD part number I might be able to find the spec and cross reference it for you.

Then there is always this option.
