As an afterthought, wouldn't Kevlar be a better choice than rubber?

        Hi Roger, welcome.

Which fuel pump did you replace, the fuel injection pump or the fuel lift pump?

Why did you replace it? What engine does your tractor have in it?

We find that our present hydraulic setup is not powerful enough for clearing snow.

What exactly is it not doing? Not throwing snow far enough? Bogging down? Is your travel speed too fast for snow conditions? What r/m are you running on the tachometer? Do you know if your PTO pump transmission is an underdrive or overdrive? The pump could be too small.

Timber & forest product companies usually build their own roads. Weyerhauser, Boise-Cascade, Pope & Talbot, etc. have dozers, earthmovers, u-name it.

That road looks pretty nice, maybe just needs some touch-up? I can see the STEEP!

That looks like the Los Gatos area, or maybe Santa Cruz?

              Hey Grizz,

Give these folks a shout. There might be a guy standing around wanting to make some coffee money. Great folks. Used to work out of the hall up here. The operators are all over the place, not just in Alameda.

I was born and raised in the Bay Area and know there used to be literally hundreds of excavation contractors down there. I just did a quick search and dug up a few:

Actually, shouldn't they be called tube guards? They don't really guard the tire at all. I'm just sayin'… hmmm

My understanding from the document is that a retaining wall wouldn't be necessary to meet certain codes. Sweet! The only problem would be jack-hammering out a nice wall surface. laugh I can tell in my strata when it rains hard, that the rainwater flows on top of the caliche, underneath the soil layers. This is also known as very hardpan.

I cringed for a second when I saw him straddling that log, then remembered the engine wasn't running. laugh

I discovered that my cabin is built partially on caliche, so that accounts for the difference in settling. It also accounts for a quarter acre “bald spot” with no forest or trees, barely weeds.
