I just found this list. It’s pretty exhaustive. Yours HAS to be in there somewhere.

It’s my understanding that Northern Tool was always helpful and good to work with. maybe that’s changed?

Bob, you have made me curious. I thought Jinma was the company that made and sold their own brand as well as Farm Pro and Nortrac as well as some others. Basic differences were hoods, fenders, and other cosmetic things. However I was under the impression that Mahindra was a totally different company based in India where Jinma is Chinese. Am I missing something in the connection between Jinma and Mahindra? BTW, the tractor in question looks a lot like my Jinma but styled a little different. I have never seen a Mahindra in person so can only go by pictures. Stuart
I believe Mahindra makes the higher horsepower tractors for Jinma, like 35 HP and above. Have you talked to Ronald at Ranch Hand Supply?

The TY396E Jiang Dong engine is used in a lot of Jinma tractors as well prior to 2015 if I’m not mistaken. You have a Yuchai or Guilin dozer, depending on the age, irrespective of the brand name on it which really means nothing. Circle-G Tractor, Ranch Hand Supply, Keno Tractor, etc. , they will all have your part.
There is a nameplate on the left side of the engine that will have the model number on it.

That’s a pretty basic instrument cluster, not even a tachometer. Have you checked under the left fender for any markings?
My ’50 F-6 transit mixer is another project.

I think I have narrowed your search down to a Nortrac/Jinma/Mahindra (all same). Picture of instrument cluster would probably make it conclusive.

December 10, 2016 at 8:51 pm in reply to: Looking to buy new Nortrac 35xtd Dozer. Any advice? #46546I do not think either of these machines have been anywhere than the Northeast. They were purchased new from Nortrac. The 2005 is the NB3500C and the 2012 is the NB3500E. Thanks for the information.
The engine in the 2015 and up models will be a Laidong 4L22 series four cylinder 35 HP engine. This change was necessary to comply with the EPA Tier 4 emissions requirement. Those models prior will have the Jiang Dong TY395E 30 HP 3 cylinder engines.

December 9, 2016 at 10:39 pm in reply to: Looking to buy new Nortrac 35xtd Dozer. Any advice? #46544Being that’s a Nortrac # I wonder if “C” is for California emissions and “E” is for Everyone else.
Hahaha. That would be too easy.

December 9, 2016 at 10:36 pm in reply to: Looking to buy new Nortrac 35xtd Dozer. Any advice? #46543The “C” model is older. Some had the flat hood, and some had a fiberglass hood and front end. The later “E” models had the rounded steel hood. Mine is an “E” model. Sometimes the suffix can be “S” for steel tracks or “R” for rubber tracks. The more current models will have some extra bling like headlight guards and rubber diamond plate, and upgraded hydraulics. As far as I know, all of the pre 2015 models will have the Jiang Dong TY395E 30 HP engines. The basic chassis and running gear has remained unchanged for many years. Retail dealers such as Northern Tool and Eastwind have added extra features though and may add additional or proprietary model numbers.
