There are times when the same engine brand and model uses two different filters. These differences have been limited to thread size, type, and projection. One uses a SAE thread and the other uses a metric thread. High projection and built in by-pass valve is preferred. The O-ring diameter size is the same. The best way is to take your filter in to a KNOWLEDGEABLE parts house that isn’t full of slack jawed computer geeks for an actual side-by-side comparison and match up.

What Piper said about the oil is true. Oil rated for diesel engines is formulated to keep soot and other combustion byproducts in suspension. Look for an oil that has API classifications of CH-4, CI-4, CJ-4, or CK-4. Most people use oils like Chevron Delo 400 15w-40, or Shell Rotella 15w-40. Another advantage of spectrographic lube oil analysis is that it can tell you which component of the engine is having accelerated wear, or fuel dilution from dribbling injectors, or coolant contamination from bad gaskets or cracked liners/heads. With moderate tractor use, I recommend an analysis every 18 months. Costs average about $25.

If you were ambitious enough you could mount the pre-cleaner on the hood and seal the underside with a rubber doughnut. Just a thought.

I installed one of these on my dozer. It also came factory equipped on my pickup truck, skid steer, and excavator.

I’ve never heard of a “pooter”. Do you mean an automatic dust ejector like a joker valve? Isn’t your air cleaner mounted under the hood in front of the radiator? (Really a bad place, but styling is everything). Two stage filters are obviously better and more efficient. I tossed the OEM filter that came with my dozer and installed a Donaldson with a pooter outside of the engine compartment. You can also install your own pooter. Surplus Center has a couple different sizes of two stage Donaldons .

There is also a pre cleaner, and these work very well.

I might add that my cable and pulley system not only addresses the shortcomings of the original linkage system, it also requires much less effort to apply the brakes. The pulley is anchored in the originalĀ  “Power steering”, if you will. Here the system is used on pendulum pedal equipped dozers.

Not that I’m aware of David.

Any manuals I supplied are nothing special and widely available from multiple sources, and you can purchase new printed parts and owner’s manuals from Northern Tool, Circle-G, and others. And I will reiterate: There are no shop/repair manuals for these Chinese tractors.

Lots of people are watching David, what is it you are seeking? If it’s shop repair manuals for any Chinese equipment, forget it.
