Greetings Ken.
I have a Yuchai 306R that I purchased new in ’05, and currently have over 700 hours on it. What type of advice are you seeking, operating or maintenance? Are you planning on getting the shuttle clutch or the front end loader attachment? Do you have any experience with tracked machines? I think there are at least four other active members here that have the Yuchai dozers. Glad to have you aboard.

Would be if I ever got one.
Um, why don’t you get one? They are indispensable when it comes to scheduling maintenance and performing minor repairs.
Hopefully someone will have this knowledge for you soon.

Isn’t this information in the owner’s manual?

yeah, but a missile in the right place would loosen it right up!
Hahahaha! I would never get anything back together in the same order.

I’m right next door to a trident sub base. They might get excited if I started using ANFO. Don’t want them to get excited. :good:

I see a cat 330 in your future. (yea don’t you wish) ha ha ha
Hahahaha. Yes, I wish. And that’s as far as that will get.

I think lava cap is even tougher than caliche. More like steel scrap that’s welded together. Would need at least a five tonner I think.
My mini is only 3-1/2 tons and 40 hp, so the caliche is a challenge and is pretty stressful on the machine as you can see. I still have about ten feet to go.

I imported the tractor from the manufacturer in China. This issue is part of my pre-delivery inspection being done by myself. All fluids have been changed and fasteners tightened. This hydraulic issue seems to be the last remaining issue. However, if not solved I could find myself with a cracked PUMP casing. Veggie
This is one of the inherent problems of self-importing. Reputable dealers have the knowledge, parts, and expertise to correct these issues. It’s a small price to pay for that assurance. It’s not likely your pump will fail as long as the pressure relief valve is functioning properly, however that is like playing Russian roulette. You might have to replace that valve. If there is a part number on the valve you might contact one of the dealers that support this site or the manufacturer where you purchased it to see if they have a replacement, or can help you further. Sorry, wish I could help you more.

Did the dealer you purchased it from perform a pre-delivery service? This issue should have been caught then. You can try adjusting the linkage but I’m not sure if that would help. I’m not that familiar with the wheeled tractors, so hopefully someone that is will chime in shortly. I’m told that there may be a valve under the seat that has something to do with the three point hitch lift.
Hahaha. You still have it wrong. Pump, not motor. No hydraulic motors on these tractors, but they do have hydraulic pumps. The fact that the relief valve is squealing is proof that it’s functioning, although it may be set too high if it tries to kill the engine (depending on engine speed). It may well kill the engine if it’s only idling.

That sound is your pressure relief valve popping open, preventing the hydraulic pump from deadheading. There are no hydraulic motors on these tractors. Did this sound just start happening? It happens when the spool blocks both ports in the valve. Don’t hold the valve in that position, pass through it quickly. If there are detents then it could be a simple linkage adjustment.
