Hal, it's best to not to piss the cops off. You can piss the mayor and the other minions off all you want if you keep the cops calm. I am guessing that if the mayor is as controlling as it appears she has pissed the cops off already. Go to the sheriff and city police chief and see how they feel about what your doing. They won't be real open but you can read between the lines by the questions you ask.
Not many open records laws allow you a complete down load of a huge file. They require you to specify pages or meetings. I don't think you will get a file of all the emails. See if they can give it to you on a CD copied from their hard drive.
I have done some of what your doing but no one was very contentious. They did refuse me one time but when it was pointed out they had to do it by law they gave me what I wanted.
The fact that you don't live in the community is a problem so be careful.
I have one on my tractor and I tried to use a can of beer in it and it just got splashed all over. I hold the beer in my hands now. I guess a beer bottle with the glass flip top would be ok.
Thanks for the replies. I didn't have any trouble contacting Tekonsha by email for the instructions and wiring diagram and this is an old unit. It looks much like the newer same model. I guess I will end up getting another Voyager controller.
Does anyone use just the manual lever to slow down with rather than the foot brake all the time?
Yes, I think you need to have the lawyer with you. Have you contacted the ACLU about this. While I am not real fond of them they do like stuff like this and may be some help.
It's not uncommon for small towns and counties to try to with hold info or have closed meeting saying they are talking about matters not subject to the open meetings laws.
You may be turning the compression release lever to far. As you turn the lever you will feel resistance and after that the resistance will decrease as the lever goes over center and then releases the valve. You only need to turn the comp lever far enough to open the valves.
If he is getting a stream of coolant from the “respirator tube” that completely drains the radiator and has done so several times the engine should be locked up by now with spun bearings. If it isn't locked up it soon will be.
Something sounds fishy here.
The only way it could be getting that much coolant in the crankcase is with a BIG hole in the engine block to the crankcase area. Possible frozen block?
Maybe a fake story.
I am adjusting to the new site and like it. Hal, PLEASE, don't allow posters to easily put a whole damn post in a quote box. If they want to do it force them to cut and paste. Why anyone needs to repost something that has been said is ridiculous. At times it is necessary to quote several sentences of a post and make a reply to each.
It's a waste to have someone copy someone's post and then say under it, “I totally agree”. Why couldn't they just say they totally agree??????
They seem awful expensive and they are only a rubber shield that will still be penetrated.
I think your money would be best spent foam filling your tires. You will never have a flat again.
Well, that sure worked good, ya.
The photo's didn't show up so I don't know what they are auctioning off.
I can tell you that you will need a blade that is at least wider than what you have your wheels set at. When you angle the blade it will cover a narrower swath so it may leave tire tracks in what your grading. A have a tractor the same size as yours and I am using a 6' blade.
Finally figured out how to find the blades. I don't like any of them, they look to weak. If your going grade gravel you need a stronger blade and stronger 3 pt mount. My blade was strong enough but my mount was always breaking so I fabricated a very stout 3 pt mount for the blade and it totally solved the breaking problem.
If you buy one of those blades you will need to weld a piece of 3″ square tubing to the back of the blade to keep it from bending. Then, sometime in the future the 3 pt mount will start breaking at the welds mostly.
