I agree with the things Tommy suggested but it sounds like it may be your pump, you know a seal is leaking dumping that fuel into the governor. Let us know if you need anything.

You may want to set your rod adjustment at the lift handle where your lift does not go too high and allow the piston to go outside of the liner, when it does it will tear your o-ring. Just a suggestion.

Eric, not sure what hp tractor that is but most of the time when your lift drifts down it is the o-ring torn on the piston in the hydraulic tank. As for the PTO spinning, most of them do free spin but you should be able to stop it with your hand if PTO is set up correctly. Give us a call at 662-252-5272 and maybe we can help you out.

March 1, 2012 at 10:38 am in reply to: 2003 FarmPro model 2425 4 wheel drive wo’nt function any longer. #34316Mickey, we had one in the shop last week that had broken the end off the driveshaft where your balls fit on coupler, you can take the hose clamps off rubber boot and collapse the driveshaft cover to expose the ends and you will know right away if it is the couplers or driveshaft. As mentioned look out for the little 8MM balls because they will go everywhere if that is the problem. If you need any parts you can give us a call 662-252-5272 or go online and order at http://www.circlegtractorparts.com we stock every part for your tractor.
