Remember if you SUBSCRIBE to a post you will get a EMAIL notification each time a new post hits it. That is good for an important post you are following. If you just watch a post, you will not get a email, but when you come to the site, it still will inform you in that same easy box I posted earlier so you can quickly go to those too!

In regards to pictures being included in post. I have it set to automatically create a THUMBNAIL that will show in your post, but when clicked on they will open up to the original size. I think this is a perfect compromise.
I did just reset the thumbnail to be just a bit larger for the post. But again, just clicking on the little mouse on the top right corner will open them up. Here is a sample uploaded picture of mine that was 1200×1600 size. With the new thumbnail max width of only 200px it fits easily on the site in the post and then when clicked pops up still just fine. I BELIEVE IT IS A GREAT COMPROMISE!

any picture being posted on the net doesn;t need to be anywhere near 2mb. I can increase the max image size with no problem if that helps but not to 2mb for one image..again way to big a size for internet use.
I reset the MAX size to 524,288 kb which is 1/2 meg which should be way more than enough for any single image upload.

I am attempting to work out a way for the old post to be preserved for search purpose. They will be closed but searchable. I am still in the process of trying to clean up the virus that caused some major backend issues on the old site.
However, remember ask a question here too, you will be surprised how fast the new forums will FILL UP WITH GREAT INFORMATION !!!
This new forums has some nice features, just post and watch and you will see..heck I keep finding new things with it as I switch on and off special features trying to tweak it now that I am seeing live activitiy.

I am working on that, had to first get members ported over. The database are not compatable🙁 but I am working on creating a archive of the older stuff.
I know its not the answeryou wanted to hear, but the old site had other issues that were not fixable. I could have also used a much simpler FORUMS on here, but I think having the ability to still UPLOAD pictures is important which this one will allow.
Plus this one has a nicer EDITOR! More of a WYSIWYG style! And even s SPELL CHECKER TOO!!
