did you figure out why the engines rod went sideways?
there was two on alibaba for 1600.00 ea. plus whatever in shipping and import fees, better get it before they cut us off. can the block be rebuilt with a parts kit? I saw those too.
yeah that looks like engine oil, time to split the tractor.
some of these tractors had a issue with bolts getting loose between engine and trans. causing shafts not to run true thru seals letting them leak. So splitting the tractor might be in your future. I can not remember the tractors involved with this problem.
I would run it for lets say 2 hours ,then drain the injector pump and look at the oil , feel it smell it and see if there is a lot of diesel in the oil just so you know that it might take more servicing than the book requires. I have a 204 dong feng and it also leaks diesel into the injector pump oil housing resivour. I look at it about every 25 hours of running time. But let me say this diesel in the injector pump is better than a dry one.
yeah when I read it I did not catch he was talking about the fuel shut off on the injector pump I read it as he used the one on the fuel tank. my mistake.
well you have to remember how much fuel is held in the fuel filters and associated hoses that would need be used up before it starved out.
I believe the suggested method for shutting down a run away diesel is to somehow plug off the air intake . If it has a intake screen in the air cleaner that will keep a rag from getting sucked into the engine that is all it takes. I have heard of people using a wood board also.
I guess I did not explain that there is a governor in the injector pump, and that for it to work it needs to run in a oil bath.
there is two different types of injectors on these chinese tractors as far as I know . One type is self lubercating off the engine oil via a hose the area around the oil filter and the oil pressure adjusting screw. And the other type uses only the oil resivour that is in the injector pump. So I am thinking you have the latter and the sump is dry. Look at the injector pump I think if yours is like mine there will be a domeish thing which is a vent on top of the pump , that when taken out is the fill. There should be a screw somewhere in the middle , maybe with a hose fitting capped off, that will be your oil level. And a drain on the bottom. So these pumps do not hold much oil and they fill kinda slow.So take the dome thing out and fill till it runs out the middle level screw with 15/40 engine oil. hopefully this will take care of it.
