      there is a filter screen in the tank too, it is on the top side of the shut off valve.

        I think at the lift pump the inlet hose has a filter screen inside the banjo bolt if not there look at the other fuel hoses. you might want to confirm fuel flow at each point at this time too.

          it might help you to open up the front of the engine so you can look at the timing marks on the crank, cam and injector pump gears.

            if you run the engine disable  , remove the compression release as much as you can so nothing binds or falls into valve train and rockers. depending where you live it might not be necessary to you anyway.

                maybe check out alibaba (that might be spelled wrong) they are the chinese ebay and see if maybe their selling and shipping policies are something you can deal with. just a thought.

                  If you have to is there a good welding shop that can if need be put it the housing back together, cast is tough to get it welded right.

                      have you taken the name brand and size off the tire and done a  net search, I did one on size and got nuttin but the brand might get something.

                        I am with you 1 inch should not be a big deal as long as 4 wheel is not used on a hard surface.
